Volunteers in North Bay come together for TD Tree Days to help drive target of one million trees by 2030
Chippewa Creek EcoPath tree planting one of more than 100 events happening coast-to-coast.

On September 15, 500 new trees will be planted by more than 20 volunteers at Chippewa Creek EcoPath as part of the ninth annual TD Tree Days.  As part of a larger commitment to plant one million trees by 2030, TD's flagship volunteer program brings together more than 8,000 volunteers at over 100 sites across Canada to build healthy and vibrant communities.   This planting will help provide more tree cover for the city and help run-off to Chippewa Creek.

Together with TD employees, their families and friends, and community volunteers, TD Tree Days helps to open doors for a more inclusive and sustainable tomorrow by protecting, preserving and enhancing green spaces across the country.  Throughout September and October, over 35,000 trees will be planted across the Canadian landscape.

NBMCA is hosting the TD Tree Days and joins TD in inviting community members to the September 15 planting to help with the greening along Chippewa Creek.  NBMCA has been planting trees and restoring shorelines within the watershed for the past four years as part of the Restore Your Shore Program.

About TD Tree Days
TD Tree Days invests in the health of our urban tree canopies, and offers TD employees, their families, and our community partners, a fun, easy and rewarding way to give back and help green the communities in which they live and work.  Launched in 2010 as a national employee engagement program in Canada, TD Tree Days has evolved into TD's flagship volunteer program, engaging employees, customers and community partners in these countries.  The program is also contributing The Ready Commitment's target of helping plant 1 million trees by 2030.  Since 2010, more than 20,000 volunteers have helped plant over 300,000 trees in over 270 communities across Canada.  In 2018, thousands of volunteers will come together to further enhance over 100 green spaces for everyone to enjoy.  Fore more information and to register, visit
