Nov 08, 2018 - Union Gas is proud to support North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority (NBMCA) through a $2,000 grant for its environmental outreach and education initiatives.

"We at Union Gas believe education bring about many rewards," said Glen Huard, Supervisor Construction & Growth, Union Gas.  "We support important educational programs in the communities we serve, helping our children learn about the world around them."

NBMCA's education and outreach initiatives include Chippewa Creek EcoPath, the EcoPath Festival, Adopt-the-Creek Program and school-based curriculum for creek studies and watershed awareness.  The Union Gas community vitality grant will help support these programs.

"As watershed managers, one of NBMCA's goals is to foster environmentally sustainable behaviours within our community.  That's why we have special events and initiatives which engage children, youth and families", said Dave Mendicino, NBMCA chair.  "We're grateful to Union Gas for supporting the vitality of our watersheds."
