Board of Directors
Dave Mendicino, Chairman
Dave was born and raised in North Bay. After leaving to pursue employment opportunities, he made a lifestyle decision to return to the city in 1992. Dave served as President of the Chamber of Commerce for two years, and is currently serving a second term as Councillor with the City of North Bay. Appointed to the NBMCA Board of Directors in January 2004, Dave is entering his first term as Chairman of the NBMCA. Dave has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and is currently employed with the Bank of Montreal.
Heather Busch, Vice-Chair
Heather was first elected as councillor for the Municipality of Callander in 2003 and joined the NBMCA’s Board of Directors in January 2004, Heather is starting her first term as Vice Chairman this year. A life long resident of Callander, Heather acquired extensive experience at Boart Longyear Inc and Voyageur Airways before retiring at age 40. Actively involved in the community she serves, Heather volunteers for many organizations including the North Bay Capitol Centre, the Federal Income Tax program, the Christmas Cheer Fund and Canadian Blood Services. Heather is married with two grown sons.
Marc Charron
Marc was first appointed by the City of North Bay to the NBMCA's Board of Directors in January 2004. An avid entrepreneur with a solid business background, Marc was re-elected in 2007 for a fourth consecutive term as the NBMCA's Chairman. On a local level, Marc has been actively involved with several organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, Northern Ontario Heritage Fund, and the Foster Wild Environmental Fund. Marc also sits on the Board of Directors for the Employment Insurance Board of Referees and the Local Training Adjustment Board. He is the Vice Chair of the North East Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Kiwanis Club. Marc is married and has two children.

Cecil Reid, Chisholm Township
Born in Perth, Ontario, Cecil settled in Chisholm Township in the late 1980s. A retired school principal, Cecil is currently serving his fourth term on the Township of Chisholm Council. He has been a member of the NBMCA Board of Directors since 2000. During his spare time, Cecil enjoys curling, working in his woodworking shop and socializing in the community. He is married with three daughters and five grandchildren.

Lorne Mick, Town of Mattawa

Conrad Blake, Municipality of Mattawan
Conrad is a lifelong resident of the Mattawa area, including Papineau Township, the Town of Mattawa and the last 13 years in the Township of Mattawan. Conrad is a member of the Board of Directors for both the Mattawa General Hospital and the Ontario Forestry Safe Workplace Association. Conrad was employed in Human Resources and Health & Safety in the forest industry for 22 years and is presently consulting in the same field. He is a member of the Mattawan Council since July 2006 and began serving on the board of NBMCA in 2007. Conrad is married, has a daughter, a son, and three grandchildren.
Mac Bain, City of North Bay
Mac was born and raised in the North Bay/Callander area. Previous to 1992, Mac served on council in Callander, and was a former three-term director of the North Bay Chamber of Commerce. Mac has an acute interest in politics and served as President for the Federal and Provincial Nipissing Liberal Association. He has been a member of the Board of Directors for the NBMCA since 2003 and was re-elected to the City of North Bay council in 2006. Mac is married and has a daughter.

George Thompson, Municipality of Powassan
A three term councillor for the Municipality of Powassan, George has been on the NBMCA's Board of Directors since 2003. An avid outdoorsman, he retired in 2003 following a long career with the Ministry of Correctional Services. George is married with two daughters and three grandchildren.
