Friends of Laurier Woods
Friends of Laurier Woods are co-owners of the Laurier Woods Conservation Area. Since 1991, The Friends of Laurier Woods has continuously promoted the importance of the Laurier wetlands, located in the heart of the City of North Bay.

Sturgeon-Nipissing-French-Wanapitei Water Management Group
The NBMCA is active in the Sturgeon-Nipissing-French-Wanapitei Water Management Group. The group closely monitors the weather conditions and water levels of Lake Nipissing and the French River. 

City of North Bay Emergency Preparedness Team
Responsible for the flood warning system, the NBMCA is a member of North Bay's emergency preparedness team. The website provides valuable information regarding emergency preparedness.

Greater Nipissing Stewardship Council
Formed in 1999, the Greater Nipissing Stewardship Council (GNSC) is a registered, non-profit charitable organization with a mandate to 'preserve, protect, restore & improve' the natural resources and environment of Lake Nipissing

Heritage Gardeners
The Heritage Gardener's are a volunteer based organization

dedicated to developing a year-round community based educational, horticultural and environmental program.  We focus on fostering pride and growth through enhancing and beautifying the North Bay Waterfront and other approved areas. There are currently 250 dedicated volunteers who maintain approximately 50 perennial and shrub beds at the waterfront and two tree nurseries beside the Kinsmen Trail along Chippewa Creek at Hammond Street and the end of First Avenue

Friends of La Vase Portages

The Friends of LaVase Portage (FOLVP) are dedicated to preserving, promoting and protecting the historic 14 km portage between Trout Lake and Lake Nipissing that was part of the historic Voyageur Canoe Route.  Through public education, awareness, collaboration and advocacy, FOLVP's efforts focus on keeping the trail open and protected for future use.  

Discovery Routes
Discovery Routes is a not-for-profit organization that promotes the use of trails in Ontario's Near North in support of better health, tourism, strong communities, and environmental appreciation and protection.  Discovery Routes is a volunteer partnership of community leaders, economic developers, environmental stewards and locally-based action groups.
