Conservation Areas in & near North Bay
Conservation Areas & Trails The NBMCA owns and/or maintains, in part or whole, several Conservation Areas that provide recreational opportunities within easy reach of city residents. Five conservation areas and trails are located within the City of North Bay and easily accessible through public transportation. Public programs are offered on a regular basis at the North Bay Escarpment Conservation Area, while the Laurier Woods Conservation Area provides a unique opportunity to appreciate the diversity of its wetlands and wildlife while in the heart of the city.
Kate Pace Way and the Kinsmen Trail are co-managed with the City of North Bay and wind along the city's scenic waterfront. Please note that Kate Pace Way is reserved for cyclists and in-line skaters, while the Kinsmen Trail is open to all.
