Drinking Water Source Protection

The success of the source protection planning project depends in part on the involvement of the local community. There are several options for individuals wishing to become involved, and commitment levels vary from one-time feedback sessions to the participation on advisory groups.

Advisory Groups
If you are interested in becoming  involved, there are a variety of opportunities through which to participate. One option is to join a working group that focuses on a specific topic or municipal supply system. The advisorgroups will support the specific research and guidance needs required by the Source Protection Committee.

Public Consultation Sessions
Another option is to supply feedback on work done to date through public consultation sessions. Public feedback is an important component that will ensure the plan can be wholly supported and relevant to local needs.
